I started out my life with dogs as a conformation exhibitor showing and breeding Standard Schnauzers, under the Tender Touch prefix. I showed seven Standard Schnauzers to their Championships, which included multiple group placements and many specialty wins. Two of my Standard Schnauzers ranked in the Top 10 for the breed in the U.S. All breeder/owner/handled. In a short period of time I realized that my; fuzzy-faces possessed brains along with their beauty, so I ventured into the obedience ring.
To date my dogs' obedience accomplishments are: 2-CD's, 2-CDX's and 1-UD in AKC, 3-CD's and 1-CDX in CKC, plus 2 CD's and 1- CDX in UKC.
Presently, I am owned by my two dogs: Golden Girl U-CDX Aylwyn's Beyond Tender Touch CDX, Canadian CD, CGC (aka Tira) ,and her daughter, U-CD, U-AG1, U-AG2 Tender Touch Heaven Sent CGC (aka Raegan).
Tira has qualified for her CKC, UKC, and AKC CD and CDX titles with multiple first placements, multiple High Golden Retriever and a High In Trial. Tira's daughter Raegan is following in her paw prints: U-AG1, U-AG2, U-CDX Tender Touch Heaven Sent CD, NAP, NAC, CL2-R, CGC.
Raegan recently added an AKC Companion Dog obedience title, (CD) to her name in only three trials. Raegan achieved her UKC Novice obedience title (U-CD) at her first UKC trial week-end with three first placements and a High in Trial! Raegan was honored to be recognized as one of the UKC TOP TEN Novice Obedience Dogs in the United States! Raegan went on to finish her UKC Companion Dog Excellent title, (U-CDX) with three first placements. Raegan also competes in various venues of agility: AKC, NADAC, UKC and CPE. Raegan has won many placement Rosettes including multiple first placements along with a UKC High in Division!
The Tradition Continues at the Tender Touch Golden household. Our Tender Touch Stock kids will soon be seen in the obedience and agility rings, and our recent whelped Tender Touch Speed litter have started their puppy kindergarten obedience classes and puppy agility classes. More to come . . .
I enjoy attending clinics, workshops and seminars that further my education in the dog world. I love to share what I have learned with the students in my classes.
